name. Your answer should be between 350 and 450 words in length. You are advised to spend 50

1 Describe what you would do with a million United States dollar prize. [30]

2 Write a story based on one of the following statements:

(a) She walked out of the office joyfully, waving her newly acquired driver's licence.
(b) The family secret had been exposed and there was nothing the father could

8 Many reports have been made about the rising crime rate in your area. As the Junior
Member of Parliament for the local area, you wish to raise your concern about this
with the nearest police station. Using the following ideas, and adding other relevant
information, write a letter to the Officer-in-Charge of the nearest police station about this,
suggesting possible causes of the crimes and ways of reducing them.
